NEW YORK CITY — For many people, New Year’s Day is all about the hangover-cure brunch after an indulgent night on the town. For others it’s a chance to relax, or to start a fresh year with a bang.

DNAinfo New York has rounded up some options for nursing your ailments, rejuvenating or exploring the city.

Treadwell Park, 1125 First Ave., Upper East Side

Bloody Marys will be flowing at this Upper East Side beer hall on New Year’s Day. From the Basic Bloody for $10 to the Blut Aus Nord (with Icelandic aquavit, celery bitters and cornichon) for $11 and the Sancho Maria (with mezcal joven, cayenne salt rim, habanero bitters, mole sauce, almonds and chicken stock) for $11. To eat, Treadwell Park serves house smoked beef brisket with eggs, avocado and parmesan on curried quinoa, among other dishes.
