NOLA will be flooded with folks from all around the world celebrating Mardi Gras. If it’s not in the cards for you to fly down this year, fear not. In true American comradery, NYC has enough Mardi Gras events right here in this city of ours to keep everyone well fed, well hydrated, and well celebrated. Big Easy–meet the Big Apple! Below we’ve rounded up five of the best ways to celebrate Fat Tuesday.

A Legit Mardi Gras Ball: Treadwell Park

When: February 28th, 6pm – 10pm

Treadwell Park is new on the Fat Tuesday scene this year, and they’re determined to do it big! This Upper East Side beer hall will be hosting their own Mardi Gras Ball, hosted by drag queen Ariel Italic. Get ready to throw down some dance moves as the Triad Brass entertains with music, and on tap at the bar will be six brews straight from Louisiana. Treadwell Park put some special menu items on for the evening, as well: Fire Breathing Jambalaya, Boudin Balls, and, of course, some sweet beignets for dessert. Wear your most festive Mardi Gras getup, there will be prizes!
