Where to Celebrate Mardi Gras in NYC

You don’t have to travel to New Orleans to celebrate Fat Tuesday on Feb. 28.
New York City may not have a legendary parade in honor of the day of gluttony, but there are still plenty of feasts and parties to attend to celebrate.
Let the good times roll at these local events.

Transport to the French Quarter on the Upper East Side

Treadwell Park beer hall will be celebrating Fat Tuesday for the first time, hosting its very own Mardi Gras Ball. Drag queen Ariel Italic will host the event that will feature music from Triad Brass, drinks and plenty of eats. Try Treadwell Park’s Fire Breathing Jambalaya, Boudin Balls, and, of course, some sweet beignets for dessert. The Mardi Gras Ball will feature six brews from Louisiana-based Abita Brewing Company, as well as the official New Orleans cocktail of choice, the Sazerac.
