Treadwell Park’s Mardi Gras Ball

Treadwell Park's Mardi Gras Ball

Treadwell Park, the Upper East Side craft beer hall and restaurant, will be holding their inaugural Mardi Gras Ball on February 28th from 6 P.M. – 10 P.M.

Inspired by the traditional balls thrown in New Orleans dating back to the 1850’s, the evening will be hosted by Drag Queen, Ariel Italic, and feature a menu of Fat Tuesday favorites from Chef Stephen Lyleincluding Boudin Balls, the Muffaletta Sandwich, and Beignets. Fire Breathing Jambalaya with Carolina Reaper peppers will also be offered and those who are daring enough to finish their plates will be given a beer on the house!

Drinks for the evening will include six specialty beers from The Abita Brewing Company based in Abita Springs, Louisiana and a Sazerac Station, where guests can try the official New Orleans cocktail (rye whiskey, absinthe and bitters). For entertainment, Triad Brass will provide traditional Mardi Gras music and everyone is strongly encouraged to dress up for the “Best Dressed” costume contest, where the winner will receive a gift basket filled with Treadwell Park and The Abita Brewing Company swag!

Finally, Traditional King Cakes by Mara’s Homemade, a Louisiana and Cajun-style restaurant on LI, will be shared to see who will find the baby that night. For those without costumes, complimentary beads and masks will be given out throughout the night.

Treadwell Park is located at 1125 1st Avenue on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
